Gatto's Restaurant Bar - Downers Grove

The food is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitstaff tends to congregate in a corner, chatting among themselves instead of attending to tables and ensuring a smooth dining experience. My table went without water for at least an hour.

Very good food in a casual setting. We had the porkchop vesuvio and arabiatta. Both dishes were very good and plentiful.

GATTO go back! This place has everything good in Italian cuisine! Highly recommended

I ordered from Gatto's one night because I had a craving for pasta and didn't feel like cooking. I picked up some rigatoni marinara and garlic bread to go. I was impressed with the generous portion size; it was enough for dinner leftovers the next day. The food was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it was ready, even on a busy Friday night.
