Deli Time - Downers Grove

I work in the building where Deli Time is located, but I've stopped going there altogether. They impose a surcharge for credit card transactions under $5, which is frustrating. If you order a side of potatoes, they give you just four small pieces and charge over $2 for them. If you ask for a little extra, they roll their eyes and inform you it will cost an additional 50 cents for just a couple more pieces! It’s just absurd. The manager seems indifferent to customer concerns, and it’s clear that they intentionally serve less while charging more if you ask for more. They also skimp on sandwiches and omelets, offering very little egg or meat. If you're hungry, I wouldn’t recommend going there; you'll likely leave unsatisfied.

The prices are quite high, but it's a decent spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. The selection of hot food is limited to sandwiches, wraps, and omelets.

I had a great experience with quick and tasty snacks from this place. My favorite has to be the cheese, salami, and crackers. The cheese and meat are always fresh, and you get a generous portion for the price. I do wish there was a better balance between the amount of salami and cheese, though. Another highlight is the Rice Crispy Treats—they're absolutely delicious! They have the perfect combination of gooey softness and crunch, making them the best Rice Crispy Treats I've had. I highly recommend trying them, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more menu items!

Fast, convienant, straightforward. This place is located inside of a business building and next to a hotel. I visit sometimes for lunch and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is spotless as far as cleanliness. The staff is great! Always friendly and smiling. The food is prepared fresh and very quickly. On this particular visit I ordered the buffalo chicken melt and a small bowl of chili. The chili was pretty spicy and flavorful. The buffalo melt is not bad. Not the best I've ever had but in a pinch for lunch it hits the spot. If you're on the go and nearby I recommend swinging by!

In a pinch- this fills a need w convenience if you're working in this office building. No need to leave the building site. I have stopped her for breakfast yesterday and today. The bacon, egg and cheese bagel was very generously topped w bacon. Staff is very quick and pleasant to speak with. Here is their menu:
