The Little Grocer - Dover

UPDATE 2022: I changed from 5 star to 2- this place isn’t what it used to be. They don’t accept EBT anymore which hurt a lot of customers, and the service was absolutely trash. I stood there to pick up my order at counter and it took 10 mins for someone to acknowledge me. Then I got a fountain soda with my sub and it was just syrup water and disgusting. Very subpar and I do not plan on returning. I started going back to the Grocery Basket. Always friendly and have great subs. I love how their turkey isn't like straight deli meat, squares. It's funny how if you go in there to pick up and they do not have an order under your name they know to call The Grocery Basket as they always get mixed up.

First time coming to this spot. Got an Italian sub and a side of homemade meat balls. The sub was on point, and the meatballs were great, definitely homemade. Will be back

All of this comes with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. So you may be asking how this could get any better. What if I told you that right next door to the shop is home made ice cream? A shop dedicated to not only satisfying your sweet tooth, but also visiting a family owned, and family built group of business. If you're passing through Dover and need a quick, satisfying, legendary lunch or dinner, then stop by and see them at the Grocer. When you get there, tell them the Maverick sent you. I couldn't put my finger on it but I noticed something was different about the sub. It just didn't taste the same. Then I noticed the bread was different. The bread was hard on the bottom, was coming apart on top and had seeds on the bottom of the bread. I wish they would return to the old bread they used to use.

I’ve heard about the Little Grocer and had never ordered. Recently ordered a Italian sub the best I’ve ever had. Today, I ordered on line it was very busy and again my sub was so good. Please give it a try I was very impressed. Great Work by the little Grocer Crew!
