The India Village - Dover

My family and I have dined at this restaurant several times over the past few years and have always had a pleasant experience. We recently visited to celebrate my brother's birthday. The menu had a good selection of vegan dishes, but some of the items we ordered were bland and contained excessive amounts of onions, lacking in vegetables. There was also a noticeable repair to the seats near us, held together with silver tape that was peeling off. The biggest issue arose when we received the bill and noticed that one alcoholic drink had been mistakenly charged for four, adding £15 to our total. After bringing this to the waiter's attention, he corrected the error. When I further examined the bill to ensure no other mistakes were made, I discovered additional charges for poppadoms we didn't order, adding over £5 to our bill. The staff apologized for this error as well, but these mistakes left a negative impression on me and I am unsure if I will return to this restaurant in the future. I recommend others to carefully review their bill when dining here to avoid any unexpected charges.

This isn't good, I have eaten at hundreds of Indian restaurants and this is one of the worst, The toilets don't get any better they are dirty. You will have to go out of sandwich to do better.

The only place open in Sandwich to eat past 9pm for that I was grateful but the food was terrible. Bland no taste and you could tell it was reheated not fresh. If you eaten at good Indian restaurants this dining experience will fall very short of your expectations chicken tikka was greasy and Not fresh off the grill, lamb was tasteless. Even the naan which was fresh was tasteless Awful

The Indian food at this restaurant is delicious. I have ordered takeout many times and always enjoyed my meal. However, there is a lack of consistency with the menu. I have ordered the same dish three times and received different variations each time. Despite this, I still think it's worth a visit.

Dined early as we were passing at 5.50pm just as thy were opening for the evening, food excellent, staff very friendly an helpful. The waiter that served me recommended a salmon curry dish which was out of this world.
