81 Beach Street - Dover

Had an amazing Christmas lunch here , there were fourteen of us and no complaints from anyone. Food was great , good portion size , served hot and was very tasty. All staff were excellent , so thank you.

The restaurant staff are really welcoming, the downstairs eating area has a really lovely homely feel. We were a lunchtime party of four. We had starters and mains. It was a bit hit and miss on timings, 2 starters came, the 3rd came a little later and the 4th probably the easiest being that it was houmous, took an absolute age. We then waited some considerable time for the mains to come. The food in itself was ok and good value, but didnt really reach our expectations and what with the slow service it was a tad disappointing.

Although we were 15 mins late for our reservation, i was disappointed 1. I was not telephoned, 2. Our table was given away. We were offered tables upstairs and although no one was up there (no atmosphere) they couldn’t offer the bay table initially. Did feel forgotten upstairs but staff were very friendly when we saw them. Other couple that came into the room got served before us even though we were there 15 mins before them. Lesson learned, dont be late!!

Consistently excellent food and attentive staff. Went for the 2 courses for £10 deal..very good value

I think this is my new favorite restaurant. We were twice a month since the food is absolutely fantastic with some beautiful wines ciders. The staff is friendly but not above the top and it is well socially distant easy to go... You won't regret it!
