China Wok - Douglasville

A Chicago native declares that this Chinese food is top-notch. The General Tso tofu here is the best I’ve had in this area.

The food is great, but the attitude of the kids working the register needs improvement, especially from the older girl. I only gave it 5 stars because of the food. However, during my last visit, the food didn’t meet expectations either.

I moved to Ridge Rd four and a half years ago and have tried various Chinese restaurants, but this is my first time visiting China Wok, and I’m glad I did. I’m giving them a perfect 5-star rating for both their food and service. I ordered the Orange Chicken, my husband chose the Chicken with Vegetables, and my daughter went for the Curry Chicken. They don’t substitute rice for the thin noodles, so we decided to try the Beef Chow Mein and Vegetable Chow Mein as well, which were both delicious. The freshness of the vegetables was a bonus. I highly recommend China Wok!

The food was excellent and offered great value. We had enough leftovers for two meals. I was impressed by the girl at the reception—she was friendly and showed a maturity beyond her years, managing to stay composed even while taking orders on Christmas Day. We came back a few days later.

This restaurant is amazing, and I've been coming here for years. The staff is consistently friendly and extremely dedicated. They also remain open during most holidays, while many other places shut their doors. Their work ethic is truly remarkable. RAISE THE ROOF!
