Bidrage med feedbackWe arrived just after the kitchen had closed following a long day of cycling. Patrick, James, and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They served us delicious food and beer, and even allowed us to set up our tent. The following morning, we enjoyed a tasty breakfast. Overall, the people, food, and atmosphere were all fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
We were warmly welcomed at this restaurant. We don't often visit this area, but the last few times we tried to come, it was closed. We were pleased to see that they are now open for business with friendly staff. Although their menu isn't extensive (Kenny was hoping for scampi for lunch), we both enjoyed a delicious meal. I have a gluten intolerance and the Chef accommodated my needs well. The food was of excellent quality and cooked properly, in a relaxed and dog-friendly environment. I hear that the Chef will have specials throughout the season and their Sunday roast is said to be amazing. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you, guys!
Despite having a limited menu of just soup and sandwiches due to the time of year, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our lentil soup and toasties. The bread was delicious, and the side salads were generous. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the dining area was clean and comfortable. We will certainly be coming back.
We stayed in the Achness for four nights, what a great discovery. Nice clean, warm rooms with very comfortable beds. Very useful drying room for get all our kit dry after a day outdoors on the rain. The uncomplicated menu of homemade hearty food was delicious, served by friendly and helpful staff, with a bonus that it serves a good pint as well! Well done Patrick and his team!
We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn’t have been made more welcome. Patrick the owner was most hospitable, Brenda behind the bar was really helpful and friendly and Donald the gillie has so much knowledge of the river and a cracking sense of humour! The food was very enjoyable, especially the Cullen Skink and venison burger. We stayed in one of the en-suite rooms which was clean with a large comfortable bed. Would highly recommend Achness Hotel as a place to stay if you are visiting the river Cassley and it’s stunning falls nearby, or walking around the beautiful local trails.
