I rarely write reviews, as you can see from my profile, but what I witnessed today needs to be addressed. A friend invited me for brunch, and we did enjoy ourselves. The food was decent, and the service was excellent; however, there was a supervisor who displayed behavior that bordered on bullying toward her employees. I overheard her telling our waiter that they needed to ensure we completed a review, implying their jobs depended on it. Additionally, we could hear her nagging other staff members from the wait station. It was uncomfortable and infuriating to see how she treated her team. I considered saying something to her directly (I did mention it to the waiter, but he could only nod awkwardly and try to remain professional), but ultimately I chose to speak to the manager instead. Unfortunately, the manager never came. As someone who works in human resources, I find this treatment of employees to be unacceptable. I won't be returning until the owners begin to monitor how their staff is treated.
