We had a wonderful evening and delicious food last night at our Save the Children volunteer's late Christmas gathering. Paul was an amazing host. Thank you for your hospitality.

Absolutely amazing food, we came here earlier today and ordered some food, the staff were friendly and the service was brilliant, will be returning and telling others about our visit.

A very disappointing experience. We called in a few days in advance to book a Christmas lunch but when we arrived the owner did not seem to have any record of it, even though we had seen the booking written down.The food was not at all what we expected in terms of quality, especially with regard to the meat, given that the owner is a former butcher.Our 'posh ' prawn cocktails consisted of lettuce, a thick slice of cucumber and a large amount of very watery sauce, as though the prawns had defrosted in the sauce.The main course was a huge letdown, with cold overcooked turkey, obviously pre sliced and not from a whole turkey, very greasy and overcooked roast potatoes, counterbalanced with stuffing which had hardly been cooked at all. The turkey was replaced but not as quickly as it should have been, given that two customers had complained.Our disappointment was especially keen as my sister was visiting from Scotland and this was our only Christmas meal together. We did not have a pudding. We did receive a reduction in the bill, which is only right and proper given the quality of our meals. I have always found the quality of the meat and pies from Eaton 's the butcher to be good and was keen to support the new venture, but on today 's experience I would not visit again.

What a gem!. We called in on a very wet Thursday lunchtime, but received a very warm welcome from the owner Paul. Well decorated interior and comfortably furnished. Very attentive staff without being intrusive. The lunchtime menu was reasonably priced and the food produced was delicious and piping hot. Large public car park to the rear.I have no hesitation in recommending Eaton to friends.
