Bidrage med feedbackI went for afternoon tea at the Waterside and could not fault it. Extremley good value for money and service. We could not finish all the food between the three of us. Would definately go again in the summer time when view is a bit better
Afternoon tea was excellent and would recommend this to friends
When we arrived they had no record of our booking, they then proceeded to set the table omitting some of the cutlery, the cups were stained and the afternoon tea was awful. Two scones between four people, sandwiches were not sandwiches but small round pieces of toast with stale toppings. Totally disappointing.
Lovely sea side setting, well-chosen selection of fresh tasty food, both savoury and sweet, good service atmosphere.
Brought my daughter to afternoon tea for a birthday treat. We were sent to the bar area that was noisy and full of children ordering cheeseburgers. The table cloth was filthy. It was the only table with a table cloth. We were positioned beside the window, which was also dirty. The view is of the beautiful sea in north county Dublin. But the ambience just didn't fit afternoon tea. It would have been better in a smaller tea room overlooking the sea. It cost €18 which was excellent value. The food was nice. Mini sandwiches were fine. Small scones, butter biscuits and fancy little cakes on the top tier of the stand. I'd probably return with a child but it's not a fine dining afternoon tea experience like the Merrion or the Shelbourne hotels that I'd go to with friends. The view was the best bit. The staff kept asking if I had a voucher, which I didn't. Then they were asking if I'd paid....a bit unprofessional.
