Caribbean Tasty Treats

Disappointing food and on top of that they gave me the wrong order. Ambiance was nice and owners friendly but I found the food stale like it had been cooked for days and reheated. I ordered j chicken salad and instead got rice and stew chicken-it definitely was not j chicken. the little side salad looked wilted and not fresh. I won't be returning again. MAKE sure you check your order before leaving the restaurant.

I had no idea that it was possible to cook bad Caribbean food, as it is usually so delicious. However, the food at this restaurant is a disappointment. The rotis were dry and had an overpowering taste of old, stale spices. The patty was also extremely dry, leaving my mouth feeling parched. I ordered chicken curry but received goat curry, complete with bones and fat. Additionally, there were no sauces or salads provided as side dishes to help alleviate the dryness of the food. To make matters worse, I had to pay 50 cents for a small container of spicy sauce that was only half full. This restaurant does not compare to other West Indian Caribbean places, and it is unfortunate that Whatyulove Cuisine is closed.

My boyfriend ordered the j chicken plate, but unfortunately I got food poisoning the next day. I had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. My order was placed on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022.

The plantains were old, stale, and cold, and the ackee and saltfish were the worst I have ever tasted - too salty and mushy. I would not recommend this dish at all. And why serve ackee and saltfish with rice?
