I work close by so often come at lunch to grab something to eat. I’ve noticed that the prices keep getting higher, and the portion of the food is getting smaller : a Cesar salad is close to $15, and the container is not even halfway full of lettuce… I wish I could continue to support this restaurant as I used to love it a lot, but I can’t justify the price and how little food I’m getting anymore.

The cafe where you can have the best experience with high quality products, attractive presentation of dishes and a very friendly atmosphere. Memorable moments for customers and employees. I'm really sorry that I had to quit my job at this cafe.

Our little “restaurant” to do during the week. Delicious pastries, comforting hot drinks. Very good quality products, if you want to eat healthy and have a few small allergies: this is the place.You should also expect to pay more than at Tim! (Which is more than normal)

I tried (REALLY tried) to like this place, and I hate to give bad marks to a vegan place, which are still far too rare. But please stop selling pastries that stay in the window for several days. It's obvious to the taste. I was sick last night, it's one time too many. Even the decline in quality of hot drinks has become all too apparent. I will try again in a few months hoping that the quality is up to par again, but looking back on all my recent experiences with them, I have little hope.

I used to love their vegan cakes. It used to be one of the best vegan cakes in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. But sometime in fall (2023) they changed their cakes. Not just the look, but their recipe seems to have changed too. First time I ordered this new “looking” cake and I got the same flavor as I always get, my favorite the Double Chocolate cake. Oh my… it was terrible!! The frosting wasn’t the creamy and fresh texture it used to be. Instead it was a solid thick sugary thing that tasted like cardboard! The chocolate cake too. The whole thing was like eating a sweet piece of cardboard! I’m so disappointed and sad to be honest. It used to be so good with wholesome ingredients and now it’s another bad vegan pastry shop. I don’t know why they changed things. Such a pity… This is absolutely my last time ordering from Pastel. Very disappointed.
