Bidrage med feedbackThis is an old historical building with an actual well in it. It's rustic, but always clean. Please note that they are about 4 steps down to enter this building, and this would most likely make the restaurant difficult or not be able to accommodate all the disabled. We've been eating here for many years. It's the only place I'm going to get a decent, fresh salad. You treat triple sandwich is delicious. I recommend her cooking salad (HUGE SALAD!! Reuben and egg salad too. Actually, everything is great. Wonderful cook and staff!!!
Quaint and small, my absolute first go to for lunch, I've enjoyed Well House for almost two decades! Clean, trustworthy, non corporate, REAL food, always thoughtfully prepared and presented. Servers are efficient, friendly, even delightful to chat with. Even the cooks and the owner can easily be seen preparing in the kitchen, smiling and waving at regulars and nodding greetings to newcomers far better than big restaurants where you have no idea who or what is going on behind thick walls. And, hands down, the very best salads in the region! Their best offering the Triple Treat!
I enjoy this place for its simplicity. The menu isn't overwhelming in size. When I'm on this side of town and in the mood for a quick bite (usually the Reuben), I swing by the well house. Definitely a good place to pick up a sandwich and be on your way. The price is right, the portions are good, and the staff is kind. I couldn't ask for much more.
This is mostly below the main building so it feels underground, more like a springhouse than well house! It reminds me a bit of Chapel Hill's old Rathskeller in that feel. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Our group of three had a veggie salad, a chef salad, and a sandwich. All were excellent, including salad dressings.
The food was good, but improvements are needed to make the restaurant more accessible for people with disabilities.
