Berggasthaus Butz'n Wirt

Only ate here once but wish it could have been more often. Nice menu which is not overpriced. Nice to sit outside in warmer weather.

A little expensive for the area, but such a beautiful location and views over the valley. Stayed here for 5 days and couldn't fault service or food: friendly atmosphere and very rustic.

We loved it. The scenery up in the mountains left us speechless. Our hosts were so friendly and so helpful. The waitress explained us all the menu she made suggestions which were very accurate. I had the best Leberkäse ever, my wife had the haxe which she also enjoyed very much. The weissbier sublime. As the night was coming, so did the temperature was falling so we were offered little blankets. Also we were asked if we were seated comfortably and if we would like little cushions in our backs. And finally the desert: hot berries with icecream (beyond description). One way or another we will be back.PS Cost of the meal for 4: about 80 euros.

On a rainy day, our friends recommended a restaurant- Butzn Wirt. It is located a few miles from Ruhpolding, in the "Bavarian Alps"! The drive was beautiful and a very winding narrow road up the mountain! The site was just fantastic, it is indeed a restaurant with a view! We had to have our meals served indoors, as the rain/showers on and off.We had the 'Liver dumpling soup" and the "Spargel" soup, and for the main course- the "Wienersnitzel" and Roast pork with potato and salads. We had the house wine and beer. It was simply delicious and so tasty! Coffee and dessert was also delicious. The service was excellent, the wait staff was very welcoming and efficient. All around this restaurant is a little meadow with brown cows, the cow bells can be heard. The walks near the restaurant was just breathtaking. Highly recommended.

In the room I can only evaluate the guest room, which is very loving and suitable for a mountaineer. The service was excellent, you simply realize that the hosts are people with love and heart blood on the matter. The food was great. The rehgulasch of my wife was delicate, the sauce was tasty, late zle and blue herb fits exactly. The part more than abundant. My beef steak was very soft and, as desired, very moderately soaked. The roast potatoes really nice pink. What I found especially good was the sauce served in an additional bowl, which has the advantage that the roast potatoes do not gradually pass through. All in all a super recommendation, I would go back to dinner at any time, unfortunately the holiday is no longer enough. Too bad you can't give more than 5 stars.
