Bidrage med feedbackFirst time here. Did sampler of 5 wines for $5. Very good explanation of each. Chose 2 different types. Purchased 2 bottles for $15 each. Small winery with nice friendly layout.
Great time in the igloo! 8 of us were comfy and enjoyed the wine and cocktails and wood fire pizzas! Definitely would do again
Somewhat disappointed. Stopped for wine, wanted to order a pizza at 6:30 and told they were not accepting orders. Closed at 8. Asked previously how long it took for pizza and told about 10 minutes, but not informed when they stopped taking orders.. Must have been an off night, we closed our bill after being told we couldn't order pizza, time on receipt was then 6:43. We enjoyed the wine, will be back.
Every one of their offerings I try has been lovely. It is a beautiful space, whether you come with one person or your entire business. I will go again and again!
Feeling frustrated, I presented the server with a list of wines I had compiled beforehand, categorized by their sweetness levels. To my surprise, he complained, “Well, see, here’s the problem! We have these [grape] varieties in different levels of sweetness!” Although I had already organized them, he could have asked me which ones I wanted. I pointed to the first wine on my list, La Crescent (dry). After tasting it, he asked, “So what do you think?” I responded, “It has a bit of a tart green apple taste.” He retorted, “Look, unless you’re a sommelier, I don’t care what flavors you pick up on. I just want to know if you like it or not.” It became clear that his only concern was selling the wines. I noticed that the wines on the menu lacked flavor descriptions, unlike many other wineries where servers or even owners engage with guests to create such descriptions. While observing him conduct another tasting, it became evident that this winery wouldn’t be ideal for newcomers to wine. I recommend visiting places that are more accommodating, offer flavor notes on their menus, and have staff willing to provide specific recommendations beyond the simplistic “Do you want something sweeter or drier?” Unless you have a particular style of wine in mind, I’d advise against visiting this winery. And even then, good luck! While I won’t say the wines are bad—they are quite decent—I’ll be sharing my experience of the rudest service I've ever encountered during a wine tasting.
