Grotto Pizza - Dewey Beach

Overall, the pizza is average. But my assessment comes from the customer service. I went to pick up my pizza, and the Lord ordered 2 slices of pizza before me when the employee turned him down that the price was $8. The customer was upset because of the price and said that I'm okay going somewhere else and going away. I would have done the same $8 for two slices, it's not worth it, I could understand if they were bigger slices, but they were normal. Anyway, this is the part that got me, the employee started laughing and screaming over the dining room? Hey, he left, the guy's gone? Not very professional could have handled the situation better and would have been more customer-friendly.

Good, just different. The pie is very saucy...their style is having it on top along with the cheese. I thought it was interesting, but not my thing. Ordered a cheese, pepperoni, and sausage/pepper. Peppers tasted a bit too sweet. Pepperoni was good. Their sauce is more sweet than savory, and I think there is too much of it. Anyway, not bad. Just not what I usually like.

Says Delaware?s best pizza but it was disgusting. I got an overpriced personal pizza with Safeway brand four cheese blend and had to throw the rest away after a single bite. To compound the issue, we had ordered a full pizza because the individual slices they brought were embarrassing and belonged in the trash. Don?t eat the pizza because I wouldn?t wish it on my worst enemy.

I 've had Grotto Pizza else where, but it is so much better at the beach. They have a very nice deck area where my wife and I ate lunch. Which was very delicious. The service was great as well, our waitress was kind enough to take our picture. As the saying goes Everything is always better at the beach .

Nothing says summer at the beach like Grotto 's Pizza. Love the cheese and swirl and the sweet peppers. The side salads are large enough to share, although their house tomato dressing is strange but popular. The Dewey location could use some refreshing. we were seated inside and it was really warm. we asked the waiter if they could turn on the ceiling fans and he said no, it will just blow dust everywhere. A gross thought plus just let the customers sit and sweat?
