We celebrated our wedding in the castle restaurant. The preparatory discussions were always very pleasant and all of our wishes were implemented. If we had any questions or needed to make arrangements in advance, communication went smoothly. Everything was perfect on the wedding day! From the free wedding ceremony in the horse stable, to the food and drinks, to the general ambience of the location. All the staff is extremely friendly. We felt really comfortable and received consistently positive feedback from our guests! We also went to the castle restaurant for dinner. We always receive very friendly service and the food is top class! Particular attention is paid to regionality and seasonality. So there is a new menu about every 2 months with new, delicious dishes and classics that stay on the menu. I can recommend the Schlosswirtschaft at any time, both for events and as a restaurant!

Zum Glück hat das Restaurant wieder positive Bewertungen von uns erhalten, nachdem es eine Übergangsphase und dann einen Betreiberwechsel gab. Es ist ein wunderschöner Ort, um auf einer Radtour entlang der Weser einzukehren, besonders wenn man nicht auf Pommes und Wurst steht, sondern etwas Feineres genießen möchte. Die Küche ist lecker und auch das Kuchenbuffet kann sich sehen lassen. Service: Vor Ort speisen.

We only traveled 5 times for this restaurant from Dortmund to Hehlen to eat there! Just brilliant!

Cosy restaurant in old ruins. Fine menu with classic and creative dishes. Maron soup and baked goat cheese were top. Even the grandpa got his "Jagdschnitzer" by delivering a mushroom sauce. Very friendly service, the waitress had an unforgettable dry humor. Toilets with forestfeeling and bird whip I have never seen!
