Captain Jay's Fish Chicken - Detroit

I go to two places on the east side and enjoy both of these places and I will give them a tip every time because I like the food and the service!!!! And they are pretty quick with there service.

I ordered thru door dash today 15 pic lrg shrimp, 10 pic whole wings dinner w/ drink, 2 pic fish. $37.50est. I received a 4pic dinner 12 shrimp and a sm drink in a dirty a%s cup!!. No accountability from Captain J or door dash. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROMHERE EVER AGAIN!!! NOR USE DOOR DASH!!... Restaurants give you what they want to when you order uber eats and door dash becauseyour not going to take it back for the most part.

Short staffed occasionally, so getting your food will take a little longer

We surprised my nephew at school and he begged to come to this location. I was not happy with the customer service and the way the employees talked/treated the African-American patrons. As an out-of-town visitor, I was really uncomfortable with the environment. Furthermore, the male cashier got into a very heated argument with one of his customers. Apparently his advertisement sign was displaying a 10-piece wing for a certain amount however, inside the store he charged the lady $7 more. His excuse was he was to busy to go outside and change the sign. I'm glad restaurants are still on the east side of Detroit. On the other hand, the owners of these locations really should be more appreciative of the support people in the area are providing. My husband and I did not order anything. We just ordered my nephew a 10-piece wing and we left.

This Captain Jay's was definitely the worst place. Never will I eat or spend my hard earned money there. They refried some old fish and chicken and sold it to me. They should be retrain or better yet fired for that. Once again unbelievable never again. So disappointed in Captain Jay's. This place should be ashamed of themselves.
