Big Baby Resturant - Detroit

Stopped in while in the area for dinner. We had a group of eight and no reservations so we stood for our drinks. Stood selection of craft cocktails to inspire you to try something different. Dinners from other patrons looked pretty good.

Capers is a very small restaurant that you'd probably drive right by if you were not watching for it. We start in the parking lot where they provide security guards to watch over your car. The restaurant is very small and narrow which does not allow for large parties, due to size constraint. Our waiting, Nathan, was very attentive, helpful, polite and accurate. He did not write down our order but with all of our sides and special instructions, he nailed it! The salad bar was well provisioned, although I would like to see a better quality of lettuce. We ordered the 6 ounce filets, the big loaded baked potato (which is a meal in and of itself), the very yummy spinach with garlic, feta and tomatoes, broccoli and red skin potatoes. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and was flavored wonderfully. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. The only disappointment was that we ate too much and didn't have room to try their carrot cake. We will be back and will try not to order as much, hopefully, so we can try it. Nathan was a wonderful server and kept our water glasses filled and checked in on us regularly GREAT JOB CAPERS!

Nice location. Good variety of cocktails-large selection.I thought the food was on the expensive side with small portions-we had the cheese plate and (Polaris drink) Both very good. Excellent wait staff, very attentive.

Cool cocktail bar. Very busy on a Saturday night but we were able to get seats at the bar. Very interesting cocktail menu, all the drinks we ordered were very good. Very friendly service.

Stellar cocktails they know what they are doing! A large range of expertly crafted and well balanced drinks in a cool setting.
