Splash Seafood Grill - Des Moines

Outstanding. Excellent food and service. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and the timing was perfect, not rushed but not slow. Food was delicious and fresh, well prepared. I had raw oysters from PEI and New Brunswick, Norwegian salmon prepared meunier style in a white wine, seasoned butter sauce with broccolini and lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese was to die for and a very large serving, enough for the two of us. My son had lobster bisque with garlic mashed and broccolini and some of my lobster Mac and cheese, and peach ice cream for desert. Service was perfect as was the chef. Splash is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere and I think the best restaurant in Des Moines. I loved our table in the corner by the fish tank.

From the outside the restaurant appears smaller than it actually is. Once inside it's spacious and the decor is lovely. Our waitress is the kind of waitress I like gives you space to enjoy your meal but is knowledgeable and courteous. The food was delicious. My husband and I decided that we would return for another meal.

1st timer. Great food props to the chef for every dish that was served I was challenged to determine what was in each dish! Bottom downstairs could have been a bit more updated but that doesn't matter to the food and service received! Fantastic food!

Emily made it a true dining experience! Wine, scallops, sea bass, salad, sides and dessert were perfect. Our go-to celebration restaurant. Worth driving 100 miles from Council Bluffs.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Splash is my wife's go-to restaurant for special events. The drinks were outstanding, the starters were superb, and the entrees were wonderful. My only concern was there was one mussel in my Cioppino that I wouldn't eat because it didn't looked as if it was cooked completely. Other than that, it was a great night.
