Lucky Lotus - Des Moines

Food is good but every time I order it’s wrong and I never get to experience fully. Past 3 times I’ve come order has been wrong. Not sure what’s going on here. Something’s changed from the good days 2 years ago. Chicken gross too. :

Good food. Spice level is real. Excellent spring rolls and peanut sauce. Easy to have a good vegan meal relatively cheap.Spring rolls: 10/10Peanut sauce: 11/10Drunken noodles: 8/10I enjoyed the noodles, but I don’t recommend adding any spicy to it. It’s probably plenty as is, and I shouldn’t have added.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian and vegan friendly options.

I used to really like Lucky Lotus. Lately, every time we come something gets messed up or forgotten.Tonight, I waited 30 minutes while my family ate for my food. It never came. When I went to the register to ask for a refund, the person at the register was terribly rude, threw the food (in a to-go box) at me, and told me to leave. I’ve had enough of this place.

Delicious. This is one of the top 5 meals I’ve had in the entire state of Iowa and is absolutely worth a visit. We ordered a whole host of things while we were there, but the crispy rice rolls and krapow stood out in particular. Also, we’re eternally grateful that we’ve found a place in Des Moines that doesn’t mess around on spice and knows how to do it right. We will definitely be back and will be evangelizing to all of our spice enthusiast friends. :
