India Star - Des Moines

I had a wonderful dinner with my partner at this restaurant, decided to try it out before it closed. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks.

From the hole-in-the-wall location on Beaver to the present-day spot on Douglas, Indien Star consistently delivers high-quality, delicious food. Their creamy korma is dream-inducing, and their samosas with real lamb pack a spicy and exotic cardamom punch. Rooted in Indian tradition, they also know how to satisfy the appetite of Iowans looking for a goddess-like dining experience.

I was disappointed after dining at this restaurant in person before the pandemic, as I usually enjoy their buffet lunch option. Now that I have to order from the menu, I found the portions to be smaller than I would have liked. However, the price was reasonable and the quality of the food was still good. I hope that by continuing to support them, we can help keep this great Indian restaurant in business. Hopefully, once the pandemic is over, we can all enjoy the buffet option once again.

It's a very nice place to enjoy a meal. The food is good. The place is very clean, and covid careful. The naan is the best in the city.
