Fazoli's - Des Moines

I ordered a large to-go order with 16 servings and the entire staff was fully engaged from beginning to end. It was just before lunchtime so there weren't many other customers, yet they treated me as if I was their top priority. Every single one of them was pleasant and friendly! I will definitely be returning for a meal for myself very soon.

The food was fine, no complaints there. Service is very slow and has been for awhile. I understand staffing restaurants is an issue right now, however, when we went inside (because the drive thru wasn't moving) there were 5 people in the kitchen and noone behind the counter. We waited about 5 minutes before someone greeted us. The gentleman who did was very courteous. 2 morepeople came in behind us and he took the time to help them with menu questions after we had already ordered. After that, wewaited roughly 25 minutes for our food in the lobby in front of the registers. During this time, a younger male employee in thekitchen was just ripping into a coworker. Literally yelling and ridiculing her. He was absolutely horrible to her. So much sothat the couple who came in behind us pulled aside an employee and pointed him out. This is not ok. I was honestly veryconcerned with his behavior. Someone at this location needs to have a talk with that specific employee because this is sadly notthe first time I've witnessed his attitude.

The service was fantastic. I hadn't visited in a while, maybe two years? The food came out quickly and was delicious. The man at the front counter was exceptional, giving off the impression that he was the owner. It's rare to find people with that level of hospitality these days.

They deserve 5 stars on my order. My order was baked spaghetti with sauce,no meat per my request. It had plenty of sauce this time and I even bought extra sauce because usually it's too dry for me. Fresh breadsticks too.

I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. The meal was delicious, but I suggest putting more meat sauce on the spaghetti as some bites were a bit dry.
