The Rocking Chair - Derry

Visited the rocking chair, went up stairs for food place looked bland enough. I noticed a gentleman and lady arguing with bar staff over pricing mistakes can be made of course. I ordered the philly cheese steak well in was very poor the texture of food was like eating rubber, my son got a burger that you could bounce of a wall and it would not fall apart. Went to pay and was charged for 2 bottles of cider and 2 glasses of wine which we never ordered this is one place I never step foot in again ever.

Friendly staff, excellent food and a good location in Londonderry. We had to wait a bit but it is understandable as it was really packed. Besides, the time went by quick sipping their excellent beer and listening to the band playing downstairs.

I recently stayed at the Maldron hotel, which I found to be excellent. The Rocking Chair pub/bar is conveniently located just a short walk from the hotel, at the top of Waterloo Street and by the historic Derry City Wall. Even though I had already eaten, I enjoyed several rounds of fantastic beer. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment during a stay in Derry.

Eating was absolutely amazing. the staff was very nice and helped us in our choice. we ordered the coliflower, two chicken dishes, the broken fish and the chili squid and we left super full and the price was more than reasonable

We were greeted by a wonderful bartender named noel. he showed us around the pub and rang us with information about the environment of Derry/Londonderry. the prices were fair and the pouring out were excellent. I would highly recommend this pub if they are interested in a traditional irish pub.
