Bidrage med feedbackI drove from Buxton to this restaurant, stopped and had breakfast. It was a great place, despite some construction work being done. It was still lovely nonetheless.
This charming tea shop has a wonderful atmosphere. The coffee cake was absolutely delicious, though it was quite large enough to share between two people. Unfortunately, the Victoria sandwich I ordered was a bit stale, but the staff promptly replaced it without any issue. One major concern I had was the improper use of face masks by some of the employees. Wearing a mask under the nose defeats the purpose, and it's crucial not to keep touching the mask. If you do need to adjust it, make sure to sanitize your hands before touching anything.
We stopped for tea and a slice of cake during a ride with my brother. The leaf tea was excellent and they had a great selection of cakes. The staff were also very friendly and fun. Thank you!
We called in as there were 2 window spaces available in a corner which looked very appealing. We had been here quite a while ago and were happy with things then, not so much now. Like the other review made yesterday, we had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken and another 10 minutes for the drinks and a brownie to arrive. My heated sausage roll took nearly another 10 minutes to arrive. In all fairness, the drinks and food were excellent and good value for money. One more area that needs attention is leaving cakes on the front counter uncovered. A big no no, particularly in these extreme health conscious times
Visited Ashbourne today and as we 've been to Dillon 's for a coffee previously we thought we 'd pop in. Mistake. We waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order and nearly 10 more for the drinks to arrive! Lovely coffee shame about the Bakewell Pudding cake. Quite dry with hardly any 'cherry ' filling. Apparently the chocolate cake faired better. Disappointed with the whole experience. Probably won 't be popping in again.
