Mandarin Chinese - Derby

The four of us had a fantastic meal with very helpful and good service. the ambiente, the decor and the lighting were very welcoming and there were four more tables of customers in the restaurant when we arrived. on a week night, that's nice. we went for the cooked to order everything they eat buffet. excellent value only £16.99 per person. we had many different dishes. the salt and chili ribs, sweet sour chicken and bark meat in black bon sauce were my favorite. great food, good value, fantastic friendly service. in any case back.

Had a great time at the Mandarin tonight with friends. Quality food, great and relaxing atmosphere and very good service. Loved the Crispy Aromatic Duck, BBQ Spare Ribs, chicken yuk sung, pan-fried Salmon in the light soy sauce with ginger and spring onions, steamed King Prawns in Garlic Sauce and the Sweet and Sour chicken. Everything was freshly cooked and tasted great! It's the best Chinese in the area.

The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I ended up returning for two consecutive days!

Absolutely amazing! I had to wait a little while, but the food was incredibly fresh and arrived piping hot, having clearly been freshly prepared.

We decided to go out for dinner on a Friday night without a reservation. We ended up walking into The Mandarin, and I'm so glad we did! I had only tried their takeaway service before, but this was my first time dining in. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, the service was prompt and the food was outstanding. It was probably the best Chinese meal I've had at a restaurant. I would definitely recommend The Mandarin and will be making another trip there soon!
