Bidrage med feedbackI got to see next Steve Goodman at one of Denver 's best dive bar. Arlo McKinley Band rised the roof that night,it was a magical night. Best part for less than $30. Drop the mike moment!
Show was supposed to START at 8pm per the tickets. Headliner played their last song at at 8:11pm. Three bands were done with their set prior to the start time . Drove nearly two hours to miss the act I paid to see. I even called in advance to confirm the schedule but there is nobody available by phone day of show. Sad considering this is one of the last authentic feeling venues in the city..You need to be inside of the venue around 1.5 2 hours prior to ticket time if you want to actually see the show. Do not count on the headliner closing out the show for the night and do not count on the ability to acquire that information prior.Has the potential to be a really authentic and intimate venue, but lacking in basic time management.
Very disappointed. Drove two hours to see an awesome band. Show was to start at 9, was advertised as such on their website and Facebook page. But they had one of the bands start at 8, and it happen to be the one I came to see. Got to see 30 seconds of their last song. Was very disappointed that a venue would have one of the artists go on one hour before the advertised show time.Drink prices outrageous.. two drinks were $30. Not a great first time experience.
I live near by, so the past couple times I've been to this venue has been a pleasure, sound is great, stage is good, parking can be found within reasonable distance, bathrooms are tiny but still work, green room is smaller but solid. Drinks are average price.
I love dives. However, I asked for a double vodka ginger ale for my second drink. The bartender tried to charge me a double for as 4-second pour. He also used a small sized plastic cup. I am more than happy to pay extra for a double, or paying the normal price for a single. We had a quick back and forth, until he poured it into the right sized cup and added a few more seconds. I used to bartend, so I know the difference, but if you don't know how to count a pour, you may be getting ripped off. Just be aware of your charges.
