Taqueria Monterrey - Denton

There is no better sandwich than this one in my Ciudad. The torta Cubana is a Mexican sandwich filled with various meats, cheeses, and sauces. This flavorful sandwich gets its name from Calle Republica de Cuba, the street where it was invented in Mexico City, Mexico. Don 't know if I noticed cheese, but are you a meat lover? Steak, chicken, sausage, lettuce, avocado and who knows what else. All of it was tender and moist, with a touch of crispiness. Include a buttery flat bun, and you can top it with a red or green sauce to your taste. Let 's not forget to mention a jalapeño for occasional bursts of heat. You haven 't eaten a sandwich until you 've eaten this Mexico City crowd pleaser. Right here in Denton. Taqueria Monterrey never fails. Oh Dios mío.

Ordered 2 burritos. All the meat is clearly burnt. Like they used burnt up scrapes. Not even edible. Worse burritos I?ve had. Not coming here again

First time did not disappoint! We tried 8 different tacos: barbacoa was so good, chicken was juicy but not flavorful, steak was great flavor but a little over cooked (still delish), pastor was different but we both really liked it, chicharrón was surprisingly a favorite!, carnitas... *chefs kiss*, pablano was a good vegetarian option, the lengua (cow tongue) was very very good if you like that softer texture of meat. Green sauce ???? red sauce ????. Rice beans were boring, kind of flavorless, but standard. We will definitely be back to try more get some of the ones we really liked. The woman who took our order was friendly helpful. The food came out super quick too!

We were going back to Alvarado, TX from Winstar Casino...we were hungry, we initially stopped at Chili's, but we seen this restaurant at a distance. We were not disappointed, we ordered tortas, flautas, and elote. All very good. The only negative, they are not willing to substitute.

Great food for a decent price. The portions are huge and it's a very relaxed area, just be weary of parking as the lot it's connected to tends to fill quickly. Also I can't recommend getting a side of beans, but the rice is worth the cost :
