Cotton Patch Cafe - Denton

I ordered delivery so I can't rate the atmosphere. I ordered the chicken fried steak, sides of garlic mashed potatoes and southern green beans. The steak breading was crisp if a bit dry and thick. The mashed potatoes were also dry and dense. The green beans had a nice kick to them. Separating the gravy was much appreciated.Overall portions were a good meal. There could have been more gravy to offset the dryness but it sufficed.

Hmmm, this was my first time trying Cotton Patch. Wasn't impressed at all. Reminded me of an old time Furrs Cafeteria. Not that they were bad, but just wasn't great. Food was too bland for my liking. Service wasn't great either. Younger group of servers and they seemed a little lost.Food: 3/5

Cotton Patch Cafe is always a great place to go and eat, today I brought my sister who has never been here before. Alex was the young man that greeted us and led us to our table. He was very polite and stayed busy doing different things when there weren't any people waiting to be seated. Our server's name was Anthony he was very polite and knowledgeable, he told us that he had only worked there for three weeks. He was very attentive to all of his tables, my sister had him running back and forth but it didn't seem to bother him. If you go to the Cotton Patch Cafe in Denton be sure and ask for Anthony, you won't be disappointed. The food is always great also.
