Chestnut Tree Bistro - Denton

I have had mixed feelings about this restaurant. It used to be our favorite spot on Denton Square, but some of our favorite items like egg salad and beer bread are no longer on the menu. The muffins have also been missing during our recent visits. The tea flavors are not very special. We do enjoy the muffins when they are available, but the croissants are nothing special. The BLTA was disappointing and uninspiring this time. My girlfriend thought the chicken salad had very little chicken in it. I did like the Rocket the Beets, but my girlfriend noticed a decrease in quality over the years. Despite there being only a few other tables, the wait for our food was unacceptably slow. The service has been inconsistent over the years. The restaurant's recent redecorating is a welcome change from the mismatched tables and worn-out booths. Unfortunately, it seems like this place is not what it used to be. We probably won't be returning, as it seems the things we used to love will never come back.

The dishes at this restaurant are beautiful and of high quality. I have ordered the Buddha Bowl twice and it is absolutely perfect.
