Castelli Estate - Denmark

Rude staff, close when they like despite opening hours being online. Closed a whole 1 hour and 30 minutes before stated time, no apology and wouldn’t let us in despite there still being tables inside with wine (we were only after a quick glass). No one was very friendly or offered alternative. Very frustrating after travelling quite a number of hours to get there!! Luckily there’s a place called The Lakehouse just around the corner, where you’re greeted with a much nicer welcome. Nicely busy, great atmosphere, lovely setting overlooking the lake and great wine go there instead!

The only vegetation options on the menu were bread or cheese (which my pregnant wife couldn't have).

Very lovely wines and first time vitello tonnato outside Europe it is frikken amazing! Nice staff and lovely location above Denmark WA with a fantastic view into the hills.
