Bear's Smokin' Bbq - Denison

This place has the most amazing smoked flavor in its meats. The brown sauce is so delicious that I could almost drink it! The bear bowl is fantastic, and if you ever spot the Elote with Brisket on the menu, you absolutely have to try it! It's a family-owned and operated restaurant, so it's great to support local businesses. They are only open for lunch, so make sure to visit on Saturday if you can't make it during the week. My family loves to order their pulled brisket by the pound!

...it's obvious they care about what they do. I got the Bearclaw with hashbrown casserole. First up The hashbrown casserole reminds me of that really tasty side that's the first one gone at a family reunion. Rich, buttery, cheesy, delicious. My sandwich was balanced and really satisfying. You can tell the brisket and pulled pork are trimmed well and cooked with precision. Moist, savory meat... without any unrendered fat that typically takes away from even the best bbq bites. The hot link brought the spice. The bbq sauce added tang and sweetness. I can't explain how but the gravy helps tie it all together. Beyond the food... the preparation is fast. The service is kind. The decorations add character. And the bbq pit smells delicious with the smoke rolling right by the ordering window. If you've read this far you either own Bear's or plan on going now. Enjoy. Without a doubt, this is the best BBQ spot in North Texas! The service was quick and friendly, the brisket was outstanding, and you really get a substantial meal for the price!

The bear claw nachos are simply amazing! I came across some earlier reviews that mentioned cold cheese and minimal meat, but I couldn't help but try them myself. In my experience, the food was piping hot and generously topped with meat. Initially, I was concerned about the price since they seemed a bit pricey, but the man who delivered them really brought a great experience. Honestly, I completely forgot about the cost while I was savoring every bite!

I wanted to try this place forever. Besen... the service was fast. Nothing special about eating. I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches one side of baked beans. The Buns were cold and definitely not fresh! The beans weren't even lukewarm. To eat the pig from the buns. Pig meat was delicious but definitely not hot or even warm tho! It won't come back.
