Down Home Grill Cafe - Denham Springs

The new ownership and management have truly made a positive impact. The food was delicious, and the service was both friendly and attentive. On my first visit, I found large pieces of raw onion in the meatloaf a bit off-putting, but the owner assured me that this issue is already being addressed! It’s great to see that he has retained servers who have been with the restaurant for a long time, as they feel like family to us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This is the epitome of home cooking! The chicken fried steak with gravy is incredibly delicious. The chicken dumplings are outstanding, and the vegetables are absolutely fantastic! Plus, you can't beat their prices!
