Cucina Mio - Delray Beach

I drove 20 minutes through traffic to pick up pastries for my sweet mom, who isn't well, only to find they closed at 3:00 PM. I arrived at 3:01, but they refused to let me in. This level of customer service is really disappointing, especially in a time when we need kindness. Although I love their food and pastries, I won’t be returning. The service has never been good, but I suppose that’s typical for a French establishment. 3:01!

If you’re not in the mood to cook but still want to indulge in delicious food, this place is perfect. Today, I had a vol-au-vent with a salad and dessert, and it was fantastic. Yesterday, I enjoyed a croissant filled with ham and cheese, which was absolutely to die for!

I encountered long lines at the cafe in Morikami Garden, so I decided to try this place right across from the entrance. The food was excellent; I had lunch, but the breakfast options also looked appealing. The panini I had was delicious. It was quite busy, with individual food preparation alongside bakery customers, so this isn’t the best spot if you’re in a rush. They offer authentic French bakery items, and the quiche selections were outstanding as well.
