City Oyster Sushi - Delray Beach

Very simply, a great meal, great service and fair prices. Many restaurants in Delray Beach come and go. This place has been around for a long time and the reason is obvious. Every time we go there, the food is great. Went there this weekend with friends and all four dishes were excellent. Nice atmosphere with an upscale crowd.

Had 7:45 reservations. Not honored. Told 20-30 min waiting because “we have 2 tables of 5 before you do not know when your available because only so many tables of 5 available. It's supposed to be an oyster. Oysters ordered. 3 requests later they came after 45 min. The rest of the orders lasted 90 min. All waiters said: “They are back in the kitchen”. This is no way to run a so-called upscale restaurant with high prices. Not recommended. Don't go back.

We had a very nice waitress, but they were understated and she ran mad. We had oysters that were far too small for these prices and crackers were not the same as they usually were, and they were astonishing earlier. I brought my guests here about two weeks ago and I ordered here one of my favorite dishes, the sea bass and I had to send him back because it was very fishy and not the same quality as before. I hate it when restaurants reduce quality and calculate higher prices. I never think of paying for expensive foods as long as it is a quality product.

They are good but not great. It’s machine not a friendly place where anyone working there makes you feel special for the money spent.

The server was fantastic. She explained the dishes in detail. The food wonderful.
