China Dragon - DeLand

It's probably the best Chinese in town. It's hard to get good Chinese food down here in Florida for some reason. Not really sure why. Just saw a review from a guy giving it 1 star though, Erik, with pictures of perfectly good chicken. That brown stuff is just cooked blood vessels and stuff, perfectly fine to eat and awfully tender. Kids taking orders is how most Chinese restaurants are, if you don't like it then don't get Chinese food.

We have had good experiences ordering from China Dragon. First, I’ll say this – any restaurant that can thrive in that location has to have good food! Yes, there CAN be a Chinese restaurant in the back corner of that strip parking lot. Our crew is pretty varied – from broccoli chicken fans to folks who like Hunan/Szechuan dishes with hot oil on the side. Everyone enjoyed their food. Fresh, quality ingredients. I am not a huge hot and sour soup fan – but my brother loves it and is always orders it when we get Chinese. I’d have to say China Dragon has some of the best hot and sour soup I have had, and my bro agreed it was very good.

Disappointed ?, used to be friends with family that used to run the place she her husband were so friendly and her sweet son Chris.Not so with these people who run it now.Not personable,you are treated like a walking ? .No manners,Child answers the phone many times, doesn 't understand what you need if it 's outside the box. Mom only then gets on the phone,I asked if they could just add a little snow peas to my bourbon chicken while in the wok she said, no snowpea, just chicken. I give you side 12 dolla . I said , 12 dollars ?! No,I don 't mind paying extra of course but I don 't want a whole carton,I only need like a handful tossed in with my chicken , she said, no bourbon chicken come only, no snowpea . Ugh? so I said so you won 't make it for me, how I would like it? She simply said, No . No, I said ok ,? thanks, Bye .*2 days later*My boyfriend called from same phone, they didn 't answer.(We just drove by and saw they were opened too? boyfriend called again an hour later,he said someone picked up after 5 rings , and it was very awkward conversation, Hello , Um is this China Dragon ..helloo ..response- yes ... uncomfortable pause.. Um, are you open ? And the pause ended it was the young boy , He said, no were closed then click. It was a half hour until their closing time and no it wasn 't the holiday. So I am done with this place,plenty other places to spend our ?. ???

Very friendly fr the moment you walk in. Food is tasty. And for the 1 review that stated that it was close to Massachusetts you are correct. 1 of the main reason I tried this place out. And now I have found my Chinese restaurant to go to.This whole family does an amazing job.

I ordered $50 worth of food today. The crab rangoons were hard and there wasn't any crab inside. The chicken lo mein was okay, but the chicken was fried (horrible) so I had to pick it out and just have the lo mein part. The egg rolls were ok. The sweet sour chicken was awful, but the rice was ok. All in all, I was very disappointed. I won't be ordering from here again. Parking: Publix parking lot. Parking was good on Christmas day.
