Cava - DEL MAR

I really enjoy this healthy Mediterranean bowl from this restaurant. I wish they had more locations near me! The hummus and other dips were delicious, and there were plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters, possibly even vegans. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular. Luckily, on my way back from San Diego, I stopped at Whole Foods and found that they carry Cava hummus and tzatziki. This week, I plan on using them to make my own Cava bowl at home.

I ordered a harissa chicken bowl with saffron rice, spinach, sauces, and vegetables. I had been wanting to try this dish for a while, but there are no locations in the Bay Area, so I was excited to finally try it. The lemonade was a bit sweet, but I was able to dilute it with water. It was a bit loud in the restaurant at times, but that may have been more of a personal issue than a noisy restaurant. I would definitely go back again, it's like the Mediterranean version of Chipotle.

Super delicious and fresh! I had the harrissa avocado bowl and it was so good. Alex was friendly and helped me pick toppings that would pair well with my bowl. Don't forget to get some of the pita chips. They are warm and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I will definitely be back. Thanks Alex for bringing our fresh chips to the table!

The food at this restaurant is excellent! I tried the lemon chicken bowl with extra chicken and vegetables, and it was delicious. This was my second time dining at CAVA and once again, it exceeded my expectations. I wish there was a location closer to my home in Carmel Mountain Ranch. Hopefully they will open more locations soon. I really enjoy eating here! Plus, they have a lovely outdoor patio where you can bring your dogs. It's great!
