Yamato - Defiance

There are many restaurants in this town without any vegan options or possibilities. Yamato will work to make dishes vegan, because many components of lots of dishes are not vegan. The Defiance location has wonderful staff.

I visited this restaurant for the first time at the Marysville location. The service was friendly and there were a variety of vegan options available. I began my meal with Shishito peppers, a side salad with ginger dressing, and miso soup. For my main dish, I had the hibachi tofu dinner with vegetables and rice (no noodles as they contain egg). The food was tasty, but as a visitor to Ohio, I wouldn't return. I would prefer to explore different flavors and combinations elsewhere. However, if I were a local, I would consider returning as the food was good, though not exceptional.

The restaurant offers excellent vegan choices. I would give them 5 stars if I could.

I love the house salad with ginger dressing and the sweet potato roll at this restaurant! They offer a few other vegetable rolls, but the sweet potato roll is definitely my top pick. The spring rolls are also delicious!
