Oceans 234 - Deerfield Beach

Our server was attentive and kept our drinks filled, and we had a lovely table on the terrace with a direct view of the beach. The food was delicious! We ordered mezze platters, steak and eggs, and chicken dishes, all of which were excellent. Then, in typical Florida fashion, the afternoon storms rolled in, prompting us to make a rushed retreat to Orlando. Overall, we enjoyed the restaurant, and if it hadn't been a holiday, I would probably have given it a solid 5 stars.

The restaurant is situated in an excellent location near the Deerfield Pier, offering a stunning view of the water. Given the beautiful surroundings, we had high hopes for a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. The scallop risotto was overly salted, and the shrimp tasted stale. We tried to make the best of it by enjoying a few rounds of drinks, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The dessert, a chocolate cake, sounded amazing on paper, but when it arrived, it was disappointing. The cake was hard and lacked the moist texture one would expect.

We've been driving for 10 years to oceans 234. we always bring guests from the city here and always promote the lobster mac and cheese. I was terribly disappointed that the recipe has changed into a basic Alfredo sauce when it was a four cheese with mascarpone, cheddar and two others. it came with white sauce and was so disappointed. the fish specialties were so delicious earlier, but they are not inspired. the mais is a crab encrusted snapper with the lobster maismic no longer. the sushi bar is no longer. the choice of a fish sandwich is no option. the menu for dinner is very minimal. we loved to come there, but it seems like it was just a lunch that is a shame. in 2013 we had our Rehersal dinner and high-time brunch, which is how much we loved oceans 213.

I made a reservation three weeks ahead of time and specifically requested outdoor seating. I even confirmed both the reservation and the outdoor seating the day before. When we arrived at the restaurant, I was informed that there was a private event taking place outside. They then tried to seat five guys, each over 200 pounds, at a four-top table indoors. It was ridiculous. We ended up leaving and had dinner at JB's next door instead.

The place to go in Deerfield Beach! The food was awesome and the service was second to none!
