The Dock Grill - Deerbrook

Ordered smothered chicken to go. Food was quick and delicious! It's so nice to be able to get real food so close to home and not have to resort to pizza.

What a great place to go if your hungry! The owner was tending bar very friendly and welcomes you with a smile told us about the specials and answered all the questions about the menu and don't forget about dessert 3 kinds of cheesecake all 4 of us enjoyed our food the chicken soup was delicious will go back soon

This review is difficult because my family and I have been going to this location for 30+ years since it was Gumpy 's then Sammy 's and have made it a regular part of our stays. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to return due to the service we received in July '23. It took 2 hr and 15 min from when we arrived to when our food was received. We have two small children that made this an extremely trying experience. If we had not been long time patrons, we would have left after 45 minutes while others around us arrived, ate, and departed. We also made it clear someone in our party was allergic to wheat and they were served a pile of wheat flour nachos even after confirming the nacho cheese was wheat free. This could have seriously worsened an already tough situation. We were consulted at the end of the meal and received some compensation without asking for it, which is a positive. Based on our experience, the Dock is neither kid friendly nor set-up for timely dinner service, and we would only recommend it for enjoying some waterside drinks or snacks.

Love The Dock! The food is always delicious. Try the pizzas, burgers, mac cheese and cheese curds. They are often short staffed but as long as you aren't in a huge rush and you want to enjoy the atmosphere of a Northwoods bar, you are good! Kids like to play darts and/or pool while waiting for food. Bonnie, the owner, is awesome!
