Wilno Tavern Restaurant - Deep River

Found Wilno Tavern on our way back to the USGreat Polish food at extremely reasonable price We did the Sunday buffet.

Great stop on the 60. Had the train engineer...add the mustard and soup...amazing. Will be back when I get a chance.

This Polish tavern has all the good you would expect from Polish fare: cabbage rolls, pierogis, sausage, schnitzel, cabbage, etc. The cabbage roll platter comes with a choice of 2 or 3 and potatoes or rye bread. It was fresh and full of flavour. If you are in the Barry's Bay area, stop in. You'll be glad you did.

Stopped and had supper at the wilno tavern restaurant and it was a superb expierence like always . They always do a very good job there and the food is always the best. The service is also top rate

We arrived at the restaurant without prior reservation and staff were able to find a spot for us between reservations.We really enjoyed the buffet and the possibility that this restaurant offer to taste food you will not be able to find in most Canadian cities: a delicious cabbage/beet/onion soup, perrogies, cabbage rolls, marinated herring, yummy meat balls (kids loved!), sauwerkraut and polish sausages, etc, to accompany with veggies and fresh salad.There were several choices of desserts in the buffet - these were average.Nice ambiance, a must to to discover polish food in Wilno, place of the first Polish settlement in Canada from what we learned from a nearby viewpoint.
