I specifically mentioned a small cake for 5 to 10 people, even using hand gestures to illustrate my point. The owner apologized and suggested an alternative cake, which I agreed to switch to. However, this new cake was only $32, while the much larger cake I had received was $55. When I asked the owner for the difference back, she went to the register and tossed the money across the counter without saying a word before walking away. Did she expect a tip for her mistake? Did she think I should pay more for her error after choosing a less expensive cake? In a time when good customer service is hard to come by, La Luce Pastry missed a chance to impress. They could have turned me, a satisfied customer, into someone who would share a positive story about their bakery. My children and their friends had been regulars, but that will change now. If you're considering ordering a custom cake from here, I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision.
I drove 40 minutes to this restaurant only to find it closed today. It would be helpful if they updated their Google page with the current hours.
Everything is so good and fresh. The cream is home made i Can tell the difference. ?
I was in the area and stopped in here based on the reviews. I had mentioned to the nice girl behind the counter that it was my first time here and she recommended the croissants... Took four two apple and two cheese along with a few other pastries. The croissants were dry, old and not edible the other pastries were just okay nothing special.
They have really good cakes, so it saddens me to have to give them so few stars. Have ordered cakes for delivery a couple times all have been delicious, but yesterday we did not receive what we ordered they substituted our order for a completely different cake without calling notifying us that they did not have what we wanted in stock. When I called to ask about it, they did not acknowledge or apologize for not reaching out were rude/didnt take accountability. A refund was offered but only if we brought it back which was not possible at the time.Take caution when ordering: you may not get what you asked for and they will not communicate out of stock items or changes to your order.
