Mcdonald's - Decatur

I'm really disappointed with my experience. I went through the drive-thru on May 18, 2022, at 8:54 p.m. in Forsyth, IL (#5617). I received my drink but was then directed to parking space #5 to wait for my two Quarter Pounder with Cheese sandwiches. Meanwhile, 10 other cars that had come after me received their orders and left! After waiting for a considerable time, I had to get out of my car and go into the restaurant to speak with the manager. He explained that the staff at the griddle were overwhelmed and backlogged. I waited an additional 15 minutes and finally received my food at 9:45 p.m. I was incredibly frustrated! There was no justification for such poor service! I'm done with this place!

I prefer this McDonald's location over all others in the area. They consistently offer a quick drive-thru experience, and they usually get my order right. It's quite rare for them to miss an item or two. Overall, it's a great place to do business.

Whenever Kevin serves us, the service is outstanding. He is attentive and checks in with us effectively. Unfortunately, this level of service doesn't seem to be consistent among the other staff members. While I'd prefer not to name anyone specifically, I do think there are areas that could use improvement, particularly in terms of speed and efficiency. Special requests also appear to be somewhat of a challenge, and it would be great to see friendlier interactions with customers. I always strive to be polite and respectful to those who serve me, so it's not too much to expect the same in return. Kindness should be mutual.

It was surprisingly good, especially since we went late in the evening. East Eldorado tends to close off one lane after a certain time, which means you’re often stuck waiting in a long line, but it moved swiftly. Our food was correct, and we received what we ordered. The only downside was that there were no smiles or thank-yous from the staff.

I just had the best experience at McDonald's! I ordered a Quarter Pounder and a Filet-O-Fish, and they were incredibly fresh and delicious. I could have easily eaten two more!
