Stockman's Restaurant & Lounge

Really enjoy this restaurant as it is really the only one in DeWinton or the Heritage Heights area. Have been here many times on Mondays I think it is for the steak Sandwich special. Changed it up and thought we would go on Friday for the prime rib special that started at 5:00pm. When we went at 7:00pm they were all sold out of it already. I got a taco salad instead and for the price I had to pay it was really small but good.

So, I 've eaten at Stockman 's 3 times since it re-opened after COVID and the food was great and the service excellent. However, on my 3rd trip there as I was leaving the owner approached me, I assumed to ask how my food and experience was but no, it was to berate and yell at me about knowing what I was doing and that I had been filiming and was banned. Now, to be clear I sat at a table alone, reading my book and not particularly interacting with anyone but my waitress (very nice, remenbered me from my last visit) and on my way out after eating my meal. I had not been filming anything or doing anything but eating my meal. As he berated me and banned me from his restaurant, everyone else looked on mortified but did nothing. He was clearly intoxicated and had decided to confront me about some paranoia that he had about people reporting activities in his restaurant after COVID. I will say that they appeared to be following all the regulations in regards to sitting, wearing masks and limiting people. He basically physically pushed me out of the restuarant as he is bigger than I am and it felt very intimatidating as he continued to rant and tell me I was banned. When I attempted to discuss it with him he simply got louder and closer to me while forcing me out of the restuarant whhile eveyone simply looked on. All of this was very upsetting end to what had been a nice meal outside of my house after socially distancing. So while I would like to recommend the place (again food and service was excellent) it is quite clear I cannot. The owner was aggressive, rude and looking to pick a fight with someone and I m not sure why it was me. I had hoped to find a new place to eat at, I 'm afraid I can 't recommend Stockmans and suggest people continue on to Okotoks were people are more appreciative of your business and give them your hard earned money.

I recently visited Stockman's on a quiet Sunday afternoon and was impressed by the traffic of customers coming in and out. The lounge area boasts a well-stocked bar with TVs for watching sports games. My partner and I ordered the tenderloin beef and ribeye steak, accompanied by steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes for her and steamed vegetables and potato salad for me. Although potato salad wasn't a regular side option, it was surprisingly delicious. Our server provided excellent recommendations on wine selection and meal choices, ensuring we had a pleasant dining experience. Stockman's is definitely worth a visit – it's a charming spot that seems to be a local favorite they'd prefer to keep a secret.

The food at this restaurant is expertly prepared, which is no surprise considering its location near Heritage Pointe and the surrounding neighborhood. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including delicious steaks and other options to suit any craving. I tried the steak and it was cooked perfectly and served in a generous portion. The prices are reasonable and the convenient location make this restaurant stand out from the rest. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

The steaks and service at this restaurant are fantastic! The staff is cheerful and the atmosphere is nice. I also tried the salmon here and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the antique pictures on the wall and the statue at the entrance. The overall vibe is very homey and warm.
