The Maple At Amicalola Falls State Park

After seeing some negative reviews on Google, we were initially unsure about dining at the Maple Restaurant. However, the stunning view convinced us to give it a try, so I decided to check out the buffet before sitting down. The buffet is the only dining option, and after sampling the lunch offerings, we were pleasantly surprised. The salad bar was fresh and abundant, and the veggie lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, green beans, bread, and peach cobbler were all delicious. Our server was friendly and welcoming, and I mentioned to her that I would write a positive review on Google for the restaurant. We’re looking forward to coming back!

We stopped for lunch at The Maple and chose to order from the menu instead of going for the buffet. Given the location, I found the food options to be quite good! The view was lovely, and the food was delicious! We had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and sweet tea, and everything tasted fantastic (including the sweet tea!). Our server was excellent, and I would definitely come back to eat here again.

The restaurant offers convenient parking. Unfortunately, when we arrived, they were understaffed, which led to a longer wait time and our server being quite busy. They had a buffet available (it was Taco Tuesday as we were leaving), but the fresh salad ran out, and by the time we started our meal, they were out of dessert since it was near the end of lunch service. The view from the windows was lovely, but after dinner, we had to sit on the swing chairs on the veranda. It's worth noting that dogs are allowed on the lodge's outdoor seating area.

We were in the area to go zip lining, stopped because we starved, buffet was delicious, our waitress was wonderful and very helpful recommendations to make our zip line trip the best. I wish I knew her name. Great place, magnificent view.

We stayed at the campgrounds and initially avoided The Maple because some of the bad reviews. However the buffet was actually pretty good after a day of hiking. They also have a decent beverage selection out of their little bar. Having a good Cabernet while watching the sunset is a great time. Also everyone who works here is super nice and attentive. I think a lot of people set their expectations too high for a restaurant in a state park but for the money I was actually impressed!
