Hy-vee Market Grille Express

Ent to the restaurant, expecting a nice dining experience with good food. However, you were disappointed with the service and the quality of the dishes. The wait staff seemed uninterested and the food was mediocre at best. Overall, it was not the enjoyable meal you had hoped for.

There is a wide variety of takeout food available at this restaurant. It was my first time visiting a Hy-Vee, and we arrived just before closing time, so not everything on the menu was available. The food was tasty, and the employee working behind the counter was amazing and friendly.

This is the worst store ever. I recommend going to Aldi or Walmart instead. Once again, I had a terrible experience at this location and will not be shopping here again. The cashier ignored my question while checking out and other cashiers pushed me out of line to open another register. I was fed up with the rude treatment and reported the cashier to the assistant manager, who did not seem to care. I suggested that the cashiers should enter their stations from the front of the store instead of pushing customers out of the way. This will be the last time I am treated poorly at this store. Luckily, there is a new Aldi half a mile away and I will be shopping there and at Walmart in the future. Hy-Vee, you are terrible!

Ordering through the website is a frustrating experience. After receiving a confirmation text, you are given a pickup window, only to arrive and find confusion among the staff. Despite the wait, no apologies or compensation is offered for the delays. This has been a consistent issue over multiple visits.

Every time I try to interact with someone at the cafe counter, I encounter problems. I ordered food from the Hi-Chi cooking area twice, paid for it at the counter, and left before it got cold. However, the workers seemed to be ignoring the counter. This is not the first time I have experienced this here. They were engaged in a conversation with a large woman from the upstairs office about an order she was going to place. They even pointed to a lady standing beside her and asked her to help the woman who had just arrived. Feeling frustrated, I took both orders and headed for checkout after expressing my disappointment. It seems pointless to try and do anything at this counter now, compared to the attentive workers they had in the past. The store is undergoing construction, resulting in aisles being moved around and making it difficult to find items. In the past, they provided maps to help customers locate items after rearranging them, but now it seems chaotic. I will be visiting other Hy-Vee stores in the area instead of this one.
