Vero Pizzeria - Dartmouth

To be honest, I didn't personally visit Vero myself as I was sick, so I sent someone to pick up my pizza. It was their recommendation, as they heard it was the best pizza ever. I was skeptical since it was described as a Subway for pizza, but to my surprise, it was actually pretty good! I had the Margherita Pizza and Garlic Fingers, and both were delicious. The pizza tasted fresh, although it had sea salt on it which I didn't notice until the third slice. I'm not a fan of salt, but it didn't bother me too much. The Garlic Fingers were amazing, possibly the best in the city. The crust, garlic flavor, and cheese were all perfect. I have no complaints and would definitely order them again. When I'm feeling better, I plan on going back to try the 'build your own' option.

The pizza was just average. I ordered the margherita pizza, but it didn't have much flavor. The garlic knots were lacking in garlic flavor, but they were very soft and fluffy. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't offer different sizes for pizzas. Overall, the pizza didn't leave me feeling satisfied as I had hoped.

Prepare to spend at least $14 here BUT it is worth it! And you could eat half, supplement with a salad and save the rest of your pizza for later. (I heat that sucker in a pan the next day and I love it! I've only ever built my own. I've been here 3 times and look for excuses to go. It's a healthier option for pizza. Each person in your party could get their own personal one with toppings and sauces of their own choice. The fire is pleasing to look at as you watch your pizza being cooked. In Winter cold it's a nice place to hang. Staff are friendly and helpful. Take out boxes are handy, along with Parmesan, chilli flakes and sriracha too (if I recall correctly . Enjoy!

This is a place that builds your pizza in front of you in the same style that Subway makes your sandwich in front of you. They have lots to choose from on the menu, but you can also just add on your own ingredients as you go if you'd like. Prices are reasonable and the it doesn't take too long to get your pizza fresh out of the fire oven. I love the different sauce, cheese and veggie choices and appreciate the very friendly staff. Will be back!

My wife and I have been eating here regularly since they opened. It's the only place we can agree on when going out for pizza as she is not a big fan. I love the huge variety of toppings to choose from and you can have as many as you want without extra charges! You get the perfect pizza every time. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And the prices are very reasonable.
