A nice place and nice ambience, especially in the surroundings. The service is good, quick and friendly but for the price class only average. The food is good, but for the price class only average. In the price class, I can only recommend visiting the new Henninger Tower in Frankfurt. (Restaurant Franziska). The coffee and cake selection is good. My Black Forest cherry cake was unfortunately a bit dry and had not enough fresh and taste. The other guests apple cakes, raspberry cakes have not complained. What was a disaster was the cake for people with celiac or wheat allergy. The only choice was a very dry, tasteless firedough clot from the plastic bag. If you first announced such a guest, I would have expected more. At dessert after dinner it was also weak. On guests with type 2 diabetes you are already a little better equipped. The nice surroundings, the lake, the interesting museum and the cosy rooms are at hand. For guests without allergies with time to experience the environment and if necessary to stay a recommendation. Not recommended for guests with allergies currently (still). The cook is new, maybe there's something. We wanted to celebrate a birthday with Brunch in the Kavaliersbau and were very disappointed with the offer and composition of the dishes. The dishes were barely spiced and made any sophistication miss. The wines were completely overpriced (0.2l for €13) and the “Desssertbuffet” consisted of an eistort! I just found the prices. Most tasty was the bread from which we have eaten abundantly to be fed. To the bread there was a herbal butter that seemed to be out of the pack. The bread basket was broken. Price performance has absolutely not voted for us. Feldsalat was very tasty, but already a little cry. Main dish duck) was tough, the leaf spinach and the sauce completely salted. We visited the market yesterday in the park of the Schloss Kranichstein and then we were in the restaurant Kavaliersbau. Nice ambience, very friendly service and good food.
