Godfathers - Darlington

I have previously given positive reviews for Godfathers because their Parmos are delicious and cooked perfectly to our liking. The coleslaw is also excellent. However, we recently ordered from them after a couple of months and were disappointed. The delivery was late, the chips were half the usual amount and cold, the sauces were only filled half way, the salad was dry, and there wasn't much coleslaw. If it weren't for the fact that the Parmo was still warm and the chili sauce was still good, I would have given them a 0 rating.

Well after my good friend Richard Bainbridge constantly recommending this place I finally gave in and give it a try. I must say I genuinely understand why he eats from here 3-4 times a week! He’s got me and all the lads eating from here now, the best hangover food I’ve ever had! Thank you Richard I won’t go anywhere else now! Absolutely delicious

I purchased a vegetable pizza from this restaurant on 15/09/2021. My son lives above the shop, so I was expecting a well-cooked pizza. However, the pizza was cold in the middle, the cheese was not melted, and the entire pizza fell apart when I took a slice. It was very thin in the middle. When I returned the pizza, the staff just stared at me. I informed them that I would not be purchasing another pizza from them. Overall, I found the pizza to be very disappointing.

We recently ordered a hot Parmo takeaway, but unfortunately received a completely cold meal, including the chips. Waiting 45 minutes for a cold meal is definitely not ideal.

Ordered from here a few years and it has been lush. However lately (last 3 orders one a week, on different days) has been terrible. Kebab keep getting gristly bits, changed their seasoning. Rotten now. Lost a loyal regular customer now!
