Bidrage med feedbackI've been here for years to dinner, but decided to try this place again for our Friday team dinner. service was friendly and eating was good as I remembered. we shared the la mint pfannkuchen, pave de pork and ente confit with kirschglasur. the highlight court was unanimously agreed that it is the swarm that was so tender and tasty with its caramelized sauce mixed with pure rice. the duck was hard to share among us, but the meat itself was very tender and fell slightly out of the bone the prices are probably at the upper end for a Friday dinner, but the pig was so worth it!
I love this place! great service, and every dish was delicious. loved the soft bowl crabs-suck starter - fried, sharp, garlicky. the boar had an amazing taste, but it would have been better if it were crispy. the scallops were also amazing - on the bowl with lemongrass, fried schalotten and edible.
Group of 5 dined here for a birthday dinner, we decided for la mint share plate option of 9 curses at $65 pp. the atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing with comfortable ambient lighting throughout the building. we started with the first three curses on a plate, papillotes aux deux ofages (cheese bags), Vietnamese rolling and grilled scallops. all components were delicious and well made, especially enjoyed scallops, which was cooked and very nicely seasoned. the blossom chicken of banana was by the way, the bun was tender and the salads were refreshing. chili tored salt sown soft bowl crab was very tasteful, but was slightly salty, ordered a bowl rice to share that was a good companion for the dish. The restaurant has been around 6 times over 8 years. my man and I were here to celebrate our jubilee on Saturday night. I've been around half a dozen times in the last 8 years. I was never disappointed. the service is always excellent and eating even better. I recommend the shooking bark, the salmon, the crispy chicken and the pig bell. their main meals are about $30, but if they compare this to go to some of the more expensive restaurants in sydney, where the minimum spending is $125 per or more (w/o alcohol), then they get much better. my man and I bought a French bottle champagner to share a sparkle...read more
We decided that their entree platter was the go-to dish since as usual, it would lead us to try out several things at once. It was more expensive though at $16 a serve.
